Since joining SANDSTONE in 2013, Niki has been an invaluable part of the business, working directly with the Chief Investment Strategist and clients, and supporting the management team. In addition to her role as portfolio manager, Niki assists in Sandstone's global investment strategy and contributes to business and client development, investment communications, research and investment recommendations.
Niki developed an interest in business and financial markets from listening to her grandfather talk about investments. She is passionate about helping clients meet their unique financial goals by finding opportunities in the world where companies and industries are using innovative thinking to make the world a better place.
Niki holds the professional designations of Portfolio Manager and Chartered Investment Manager and has a Bachelor of Business Management with a double major in Finance and Marketing from the University of Lethbridge. She is committed to professional development - attending industry conferences and sharing her learned perspectives and experience with the team.
Prior to joining SANDSTONE, Niki worked for a Calgary-based private family office and international oil and gas royalty corporation. She was responsible for investment analysis, portfolio management, investor relations, and acquisition modelling.
Niki is married with one young daughter. In their free time, they love to spend time with family and friends back on the farms and ranches of Southern Alberta where they grew up.
Niki is an active volunteer within her community. She has participated in many initiatives including writing government grant applications to upgrade her neighborhood playground and taking on sewing projects for Carewest facilities in Calgary. Additionally, Niki was one of the original SheEO activators, joining a radically designed ecosystem that supports, finances, and celebrates female innovators.
Niki's hard-working, open-minded, and optimistic nature make her an asset to SANDSTONE's clients as well as the SANDSTONE team.
