Sleeping through a revolution.

Jonathan Taplin spoke about his book, "Move Fast and Break Things". He calls for a renaissance, a movement to revive the creative class and the healthy culture that creativity gives us. Jon teaches us how we are sleeping through a revolution, in which a small group of companies have transferred wealth and revenue from people who create, to people who own platforms.

Jonathan has spent 30 years as a creator of music, movies, and television. He has produced tours for Bob Dylan and the Band, Janis Joplin and produced Martin Scorsese's first major film - Mean Streets.

In his latest book "Move Fast and Break Things", Jonathan calls for a renaissance, a movement to revive the creative class and the healthy culture that creativity gives us when it is fairly rewarded. Jonathan will show how we are sleeping through a revolution in which three firms (Amazon, Google, and Facebook) have transferred wealth and revenue from people who create to people who own platforms. These unregulated monopolies have undermined culture and democracy and control the future of music, television, publishing, and their powers are expanding...
